As we mentioned in our February email and posted here, fiberboard mills were expected to raise the cost of corrugated linerboard in mid-March. Many corrugated box manufacturers had announced prices effective March 20.  We braced ourselves, and warned our customers.

But last week’s Pulp and Paper Week remained unchanged.  “OCC,” or old corrugated containers–used to make recycled linerboard–did increase in cost, but linerboard remains the same.  Rumors on the street say that the increase will occur in April, but for now, we can merely watch and wait.
